Illusions

“The simplest questions are the most profound.
Where were you born? Where is your home? Where are you going? What are you doing?
Think about these once in a while and watch your answers change.”

That quote is from the “Messiah’s Handbook: Reminders For The Advanced Soul”, a mythical book that was given to a pilot named Richard by Donald Shimoda, a former mechanic and retired Messiah.

The real book is called “Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah” by Richard Bach. While it’s not to be taken literally, the book has an amazing way of causing you to look at the world differently. It shows you a world where anything is possible. It is full of useful insights like the quote above. Religious zealots are not likely to appreciate the story, but those with an open mind will definitely get something out of it.

You can usually pick up a copy at Half-Price books or on Amazon, of course.
